About this Guide This guide at some parts, will assume that you’re a newb (someone who’s new at something) so please don’t take any offense. Also, this guide doesn’t tell how to make a STR, strength, bandit, so all you STR bandits won’t get much info from this guide. II. Bandit Background In the MSing world, many thieves have spawned. Out of all those thieves, came Bandits, the dagger wielding thieves, and Assassins, the throwing “star” thieves. The majority of the thief population became the ranged, well-known, KSing (kill-stealing) assassins, or sins for short. There are several reasons why many people become bandits. For one thing, bandits get to use daggers, which sometimes look awesome, while other times, they look like dirt. The biggestinfluence that converts most thieves into bandits is the bandit skill: “Savage Blow: Dagger”. Savage blow appeals most people because of its graphics and damage. Savage blow forms a seal, then attacks up to 6 times when it’s maxed out. Once it’s maxed out, incredible damage can be dealt to monsters. Doing up to 1,000 damage per hit 6 times is a lot of damage, don’t you think? Of course, this damage can be achieved only if you’re godly and you play this game a lot. This is the biggest reason why most people choose to go bandits over assassins. Other influences include 3rd job skills where you become a chief banditand earn the privilege to use “assaulter” and “meso explosion”. III. “Rolling your stats” Well, let’s start out creating a character. Choose whatever clothes and looks you like and then make your name. Finally, after you’re done with all of that stuff, we go to the important part: your stats. Basically, a bandit only needs 2 main stats: LUK, the main stat, and DEX, the latter. LUK is to deal more damage, but just because of that, you can’t have all your APs, attribute points, on LUK. DEX also plays an important role in a thief’s life. Without DEX, you won’t be able to hit higher level monsters so don’t forget that. The beginning stats you’re aiming for is: STR: 4/5 DEX: ** INT: 4/5 LUK: ** Make sure your STR and INT is at least 5 or under. If you’re a perfectionist, get them to 4. Your DEX and your LUK can be whatever since you’ll raise them later on. Once you’re done with that, you can start mapling! IV. 1st Job Advancement: the Rogue Well, just level as fast as you can and get to level 10. By then, make sure you have 25 points in DEX and the rest in LUK and you haven’t placed any points into STR or INT. Once you’re done with that, take the cab for about 80 to 120 mesos to Kerning City, otherwise known as the Thief town. Then, walk around the middle part of Kerning until you see a Bar sign over a door. Go to the door and press up. If you’re having a hard time locating the place, ask around. I’m sure someone will be nice enough to tell you. Once you’re in, walk to the bottom and there should be a ninja of some sort and talk to him. Don’t forget this place, you’ll need to come back here later for the Bandit advancement at level 30. Talk to him and he’ll ask you if you want to become a thief or not. Say yes and he’ll boost up your HP, health points, and your MP, mana/magic points, slightly and there you are. Don’t forget you all get a free SP, or skill point, along with this advancement. All grown up and finally got your lazy ass a job. Don’t just there you bum! Go train yourself and make some money so your mom will be proud! V. Gear (Part. 1) This part of the guide gives you info on your gear or equipment from level 10 to level 30. To buy your gear, go to the Kerning gear shop, located on the left part of Kerning. Well, here’s the gear info for the unfunded (you don’t get money from other accounts) bandit: Basically, you have to save as much money as you can so you’llbe able to afford some decent gear at higher levels. Let’s start out by buying the level 10 clothes and the level 12 triangular zamadar. You should wear the clothes for about 10 levels since all it gives is defense. If you can afford it, buy new weapons every level or if not, every 5 or 10 levels. The main reasons for buying new clothes are the SPs you receive from it. Clothes won’t be important until about level 25 or 30 where they’ll give +1 LUK or DEX. Clothes with extra MP or HP aren’t a necessity. HP and MP don’t matter too much, it’s LUK, or if not LUK, DEX that you’re mainly looking for. Oh yeah, one more thing.. if people trade you and want to sell you something, don’t buy it unless you’re ABSOLUTELY SURE that it’s worth it because they could be other newbs who want to rip you off. Here’s the gear info for all you rich people with all your mesos to spare: Basically, buy all the gear you can buy until you’re fully satisfied. Clothes aren’t only for their power; it’s also about the looks too. Well, if you’re rich, go buy some nice items for yourself such as Red Bandana, which gives you accuracy. VI. Stats (Part. 1) The stats for bandits are pretty simple from level 10 to level 30. The basic build is to have your DEX 2 times your level and the rest of the stats go on LUK. Make sure that you NEVER put a single AP on HP, MP, INT, or STR. Here’s an example of how your APs should look like: Level 10: STR: 4/5 DEX: 25 (needed to advance to a thief) INT: 4/5 LUK: ** (whatever APs were left over) Level 15: STR: 4/5 DEX: 30 (double your level always) INT: 4/5 LUK: ** (whatever APs were left over) Level 20: STR: 4/5 DEX: 40 INT: 4/5 LUK: ** (whatever APs were left over) Level 25: STR: 4/5 DEX: 50 INT: 4/5 LUK: ** (whatever APs were left over) Level 30: STR: 4/5 DEX: 60 INT: 4/5 LUK: ** (whatever APs were left over) In the end, your LUK points should be a lot higher than the DEX points. Don’t forget that LUK points give you more damage, so you would generally want more LUK. VII. Skills (Part. 1) One of the good things about advancing into a thief is that you get to use a variety of skills, most of them relating to the skills of a real life thief. There are many different kinds of skills that can be invested in. The types of skills you can use are passive, active, and support. Passive skills: Very useful skills. All passive skills do not drain your MP so you’ll never die because of the passive skills. Passive skills include skills such as weapon masteries, which increase your accuracy and minimum damage. Also, some skills such as “keen eyes”, for thieves, and “eye of the Amazon”, for bowman, increase your ranged attack range so that it’s possible to snipe down targets from a further position. Some passive skills such as “nimble body”, for thieves, increase your avoidability as well as your accuracy so you can dodge monsters with ease and destroy it too. Active skills: Main skills. Usually meant for dealing damage to monsters. Basically, Active skills are skills that you have to activate on your own whenever you want to use it. Non-damage dealing active skills are skills such as the Chief Bandit’s “Mesos Guard”. The futures bandit’s main skill is an active skill called “double stab”. This is the main source of MP drainage simply because every time this skill is activated, you use up MP to unleash the skill. These kinds of skill benefit you in training a lot since it deals a lot of damage to monsters and can have side effects such as making monsters drop more money or draining the monster’s HP and adding it to your own. Support skills: Side skills. This type of skill aids you in leveling and in battle as well. Support skills can range in doing many different things. An example would be the skill “dark sight”. Dark sight will make you “disappear” for a set amount of time so that you won’t be hurt by attacks. You may think that the support skill “dark sight” is one of the best skills, but there are flaws to this as well. If a monster happens to cast a magic attack, you’re screwed. Take note that you cannot use pots, or potions, while you’re in this invisible state. Here are the skills of a thief: Nimble Body (Passive): Increases accuracy and avoidability for the thief. [Not much more to say about this skill. A must – max.] Keen Eyes (Passive): Increases the range of throwing weapons such as throwing stars/knives. [Useless skill for bandits since they don’t use ranged weapons.] Disorder (Supportive): Decreases the esprit of an opponent and decreases its weapon defense and attack. Also, they’ll suddenly stop attacking, but disorder can’t be used on the same opponent more than once at the same time. [Decent skill for hunting hard creatures, since using disorder on weak creatures is a total waste of mp.] Dark Sight (Supportive): When this skill is activated, your character hides in the shadows where he/she cannot attack while the creature can’t attack you either. When in this form, you cannot attack, but you can move and jump. [Nice skill, I recommend placing a few points into this skill even if you’re a disorder bandit since it can save you in tough situations. TIP: When using dark sight, you can still be hurt by magic attacks (e.g. Tauromacis’s lightning strike)] Double Stab (Active): Stabs an enemy twice with a dagger. Only applies when a dagger is equipped. [Max this out; it’s your main skill for a while. When maxed, it does 130% of your normal damage in each stab.] Lucky Seven (Active): Throws two stars/knives based on your LUK using your MP. [Useless skill for bandits since they don’t throw stars/knives. Just for the fun of it, I recommend that you put one SP on it, so you can pretend to be a sin when you’re bored. If you're aiming for perfect, don't put any skills on it, but Bandits do have a lot of extra SP.] Here are some skill builds for future bandits: Bandit Build #1 - Dark sight: Recommended build. Every bit counts! Lvl 10: Double Stab – 1 SP[s] Lvl 11: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] Lvl 12: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] (lvl.6) Lvl 13: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] (lvl.9) Lvl 14: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] (lvl.12) Lvl 15: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] (lvl.15) Lvl 16: Nimble Body – 3 SP[s] (lvl.18) Lvl.17: Nimble Body – 2 SP[s] (MAX: lvl.20) Double Stab – 1 SP[s] (lvl.2) Lvl 18: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (lvl.5) Lvl 19: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (lvl.8) Lvl 20: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (lvl.11) Lvl 21: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (lvl.14) Lvl 22: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (lvl.17) Lvl 23: Double Stab – 3 SP[s] (MAX: lvl.20) Lvl 24: Disorder – 3 SP[s] Lvl 25: Dark Sight – 3 Lvl 26: Dark Sight – 3 (lvl.6) Lvl 27: Dark Sight – 3 (lvl.9) Lvl 28: Dark Sight – 3 (lvl.12) Lvl 29: Dark Sight – 3 (lvl.15) Lvl.30: Dark Sight – 3 (lvl.18) On the Bandit Build #4, you can also replace Dark Sight with Disorder, but that’s not highly recommended. Also, if you’re the type that likes to mess around a lot, I suggest that you put 1 skill point on Lucky 7 since taking 1 point away from dark sight or disorder won’t make such a difference. I recommend Bandit Build #1 only because in the end, dark sight is more useful then disorder because it’ll save your life more than once. VIII. Leveling (Part. 1) MS may not be like any other game you’ve played before. In some games, if you play for a few hours, you can get to level 50 or so. In MS, leveling takes time and patience. If you’ve played for a few hours, you might only get to level 15. Just because you level slowly in MS doesn’t mean you should quit. It just means that MS takes a while to level in, so don’t be discouraged! Also, there are hated people in MS called KSers. Ksers stand for the term “kill stealers” that as the name says, steals your kills. In your MSing “career”, you’ll encounter more than hundreds of KSers. Some of them, you’ll be able to drive away and some of them you’ll have to change channels or change locations. Usually, if you were at the spot first, the other player should leave, but if you intrude the area and he’s owning the monsters while you can’t do anything, I suggest you leave right away before he defames you. If you were at the spot first and he came in and started to KS you, all you have to do is simply say, “Can you please leave?” or something similar and he should leave right away. If he’s mean or he’s KSing you on purpose, he might say, “No” and there’s nothing you can do about that. Occasionally, KSing wars will occur, where it starts off as one person KSing another. Soon, there are more than 10 people KSing each other. KSing isn’t something you can avoid, but it’s not something you should do either. The reason why KSing is a big part of leveling is because eventually, it’ll get in your way of leveling, whether you like it or not. When you’re training to level, it’s recommended that you use your MP wisely and to make sure you use it for your skills to deal high damage. A big help on leveling is pots, or potions. Instead of standing at a spot to heal HP and MP, why not buy HP and MP pots? HP pots are about 1 meso per HP healed while MP pots are about 2 mesos per MP healed. In the end, if you’re a big pots user, a lot of money will be drained into pots. Usually, bandits should train on monsters they can OHKO, one-hit knockout, or 2hko. Here are the training suggestions for a bandit: Lvl: 1 – 10: Maple Island: Snail Hunting Ground 1, Snail Hunting Ground 2, Snail Hunting Ground 3, and A Split Road Lith Harbor: Right Around Lith Harbor. Green Snails, Blue Snails, Red Snails, Shrooms, Orange mushrooms, Slimes It’s recommended that you stay in the snail hunting grounds because of the dangerous slimes that dwell in the stage, “Right Around Lith Harbor”. Also, you can do the beginning quests on Maple Island, which are quite easy. Don’t forget to do the Biggs quest since he rewards you with your level 5 or 8 weapon. Lvl: 10 – 20: Ellinia: Dungeon, Southern Forest 1 (Slime Tree), Dungeon, Southern Forest 2, Dungeon, Southern Forest 3, Field South of Ellinia, The Tree that Grew 1, The Tree that Grew 2, and The Tree that Grew 3. Henesys: Henesys Hunting Grounds 1, Henesys Hunting Grounds 2, Henesys Hunting Grounds 3. 3-Split Road: Hidden Street: Pig Beach. Kerning City: Kerning City Construction Site. Slimes, Green Mushrooms, Stumps, Green Snails, Blue Snails, Red Snails, Orange Mushrooms, and Octopuses For the beginning levels (about level 10-15) you should probably train at places like “The Tree that Grew” and “Henesys Hunting Grounds” hunting things like slimes and stumps and when you become a higher level (around level 15-20) you can train at places like “Hidden Street: Pig Beach” or the “Tree Dungeons” where you can hunt green shrooms and pigs. Also, if you hunt green shrooms long enough, they’ll drop a pan lid, which you should use if you haven’t already gotten 1. Lvl: 20-30: Ellinia: Dungeon, Southern Forest 2, Dungeon, Southern Forest 3, Dungeon, Southern Forest 4, Tree Dungeon, Forest up North I, Tree Dungeon, and Forest up North 2. Sleepywood: Ant Tunnel I, Ant Tunnel II, Ant Tunnel III, and Ant Tunnel IV. Kerning City: Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment <1st Stage>, Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment <2nd Stage>, Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment <3rd Stage>, Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment <4th Stage>, Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment , Hidden Street: 1st Accompaniment . Slimes, Green Shrooms, Horned Shrooms, Blue Shrooms, Zombie Shrooms, Ligators*, Curse Eyes*, Jr. Neckis*, Slime King* You should probably train on green shrooms for a long time, seeing they drop the expensive level 10 shield, the pan lid. The “Tree Dungeons” North of Ellinia aren’t usually as crowded as the Southern ones so try those when the Southern dungeons are fully packed. Also, try PQing, or Party Questing. This means that you team up with 3 other people to go to on a quest to gain experience and awards. The monsters with asterisks mean that you should only fight these when you go on a party quest with your team. IX. Quests (Part 1) Quests play a big role in the MSing world. Sometimes, you’ll happen to find a high level character, killing low level monsters. It could mean that they’re either training someone, hunting for a certain item, or collecting quest objects. A lot of people tend to sell and buy quest materials, which will make your MSing life easier, although you’ll have to pay some mesos for the quest materials. Quests are very useful seeing as they grant you the option of buying items from the NPC, or non-player character, after you complete their series of quests. Also, you get rewards, which can be quite useful at some times. Some of the rewards include potions to aid in your leveling and gear to give you more protection or better stats. Some quest rewards don’t give you anything useful at all, but they’ll probably give you some useless gear that you can use to play around with. Quests can also help you level up since they can also give you some extra experience points once you complete the quest. Here are some tips for a wide variety of quests you can complete to make your MSing easier: - Maya and the Weird Medicine (Lvl. 15): Highly recommended, since it gives you 30 screws, which you can use for making new gear, or giving up 5 of the screws for a part of Nella’s quest. It’s not too hard either. All you have to do is complete a simple jump quest about 1 or 2 times. - Nella and Kerning City Citizen’s Request (Lvl. 15 & Lvl. 25): These series of quests may be a tough task to accomplish, but be assured that the rewards are very useful, most of them being potions which will aid you in your leveling. Plus, you’ll get your level 20 gloves and level 30 boots so that you won’t have to make them. - Alex the Runaway Kid (Lvl. 25): This quest might be a little hard to do since you’ll either have to buy your evil eye tails or hunt them, but in the end, it’ll give you a random pair of earrings that you’ll be able to wear. - Pia and the Blue Mushroom (Lvl. 20): This quest is easy and has a decent reward so why not do it? You’ll get a scroll for armor, which will surely help you. I mean, who doesn’t need extra stats on their armor? - Jane and the Wild Boar (Lvl. 25): Once you hit level 25, do this quest right away. Why? This quest has a chance of giving you a lot of money, possibly more than you have. All this quest requires, is 100 boar teeth and 120 horned mushroom caps and you’ll receive a 60% attack scroll for a random weapon. - Others: There are many more different quests you can do to get more rewards, but amongst those, the ones listed above are recommended since you can get useful items out of them. X. Tips (Part 1) - Make sure you do your quests and get all your rewards, since most of them are really helpful. - Don’t waste your pots or just let them sit in your inventory. USE THEM to their fullest use. - If you find useless items that no one seems to buy, just sell it to the shop to regain more money for pots or gear. - At places where a certain part of the map looks suspicious such as a huge door or an empty place, you might want to walk around pressing up, because you just might find a hidden street. XI. 2nd Job Advancement: The Bandit The moment you hit level 30, apply your skills and stats to whatever you need. Then, put on your new gear, if any, and go straight to the Dark Lord, the guy who gave you your 1st job advancement. Then, talk to him and he’ll give you “The Dark Lord’s Letter” and he’ll make you find the 2nd job advancement thief instructor. Make sure you’re stocked on pots and then head right to the “Construction Site North of Kerning City”. Once you’re there, head straight up the Construction Site to where the Octopuses are located. Go to the right side of the building construction and climb up the pipe and you should see an instructor who will give you a test for your 2nd job advancement. Talk to him, and he’ll bring you to another similar construction site where you’ll have to kill Cold eyes and Blue Mushrooms. The Cold eyes are weaker than they usually are and the Blue Mushrooms are a little stronger than they’re supposed to be. Well, you’ll have to kill plenty of these to find 30 dark marbles, which don’t always drop when you kill a monster. Obtaining all 30 marbles won’t be too difficult, so don’t freak out. Just pretend you’re training. Here’s the sad news: you get absolutely no experience when killing these monsters. Well, once you’re done, talk to the instructor once again at the top, and he’ll let you out once you have all 30 marbles. Also, he’ll give you “The Proof of a Hero” which you’ll have to show to the Dark Lord. When you receive the “Proof of a Hero”, go back to Kerning City, and talk to the Dark Lord once again. If you have the Proof of a Hero like you should have, he’ll grant you the option of advancing to get a new job. Accept, and he’ll give you two different job advancement choices you can choose. The first choice he gives you is to become an Assassin. The latter is to become a Bandit. Click bandit and sure enough, he’ll let you advance into a bandit. Once you become a bandit, he’ll give you some more HP and MP points. Along with the extra HP and MP points will be a SP. Congrats: you’ve officially become a bandit. XII. Gear (Part. 2) At level 30, when you become a bandit, your gear will begin to cost a lot more than you expect it to be. At level 30, just buy your stuff from the Kerning City store, which won’t cost too much, considering the price of your gear later on. If you want to, and you have all the materials needed, you could possibly synthesize your level 30 gloves: steel, silver, or gold Sylvia, depending on how much mesos you have. Once, you hit level 35, that’s when you should be going broke if you’re going to get a good weapon. At level 35, you should get a decent, if not good, Korean fan. If you can afford it, you should try to get a 63 attack or better Korean fan. If you can get 1, that’ll last you up to level 60, so I recommend that you get 1. The fan’s going to cost you a LOT of money, so I recommend that you try to save as much money as you can to get the best fan you can afford. To save money, don’t forget to buy stuff with high LUK or DEX and use it for a longer time. Your armor for level 35 won’t cost so much, maybe 200k max; if they’re good stats and you make the boots and gloves. At level 40, your gear’s going to cost you a lot more money. If you want the good set of gear, it’s going to cost you about 1 million mesos for the top and the bottom. If you want the cheaper set, it’ll cost you about 300k for the top and the bottom. You’re probably asking what makes the expensive set cost more than double of the cheaper set. Why? It’s not because of t he stats as most people would probably assume, but it’s because of it’s color. DARK shadow set costs a lot more than MARINE shadow set simply because most people like dark more, which makes it in-demand. Don’t worry about your hat, it’ll only cost you about 60-80k for an average dark or red pilfer which gives +2 LUK. If you want to, and you have money to spare, I recommend that you purchase or make some red split shoes and a pair of dark cleaves which cost about 500/600k total. Don’t worry about getting another expensive weapon, because there is no weapon that you can use, so your fan will hold you up until at least level 50. Well, now you’ll be level 50 soon and we should prepare your gear. Level 50 gear is going to cost a lot more than your level 40 gear if you got money to spend. Now, the reason why I said to buy a good Korean fan is because your level 50 weapon, the Shinkita, won’t work so well with booster. Booster will still work, but you can’t notice the difference in speed. Some of you people will say, “Who cares about booster?” Those people are wrong. Booster is important because without it, you may have a chance of getting hit. Also, an average Shinkita costs about 3 mill, so think about the price of a good upgraded Shinkita. I’d say, stick with the fan if you prefer speed to power, but buy a Shinkita if you prefer power to speed. Lubridium has now come out and a shinkita is cheaper since you can make it (1 Dagger Forging Manual, 1 LUK crystal, 10 steel bars, 5 gold bars, 50 screws, and 250k is need to make it). Personally, I recommend that you get a good Korean Fan to start with and use it all the way to level 60. Once you get to level 60, you’re going to be broke, if you’re going to buy a decently scrolled weapon. The weapon you use at level 60 is called Deadly Fin, or Geta. Geta’s cost about a few mill to buy an average clean (unscrolled) 1. Then, once you buy your Geta, you’ll need to buy 7 60% dagger attack scrolls to upgrade your Geta so you can do some real damage. If you scroll the Geta 7 times, you should have around 4 scrolls working. Geta is probably going to be one of your most expensive weapons, since your level 70 Kandine is pretty cheap for a level 70 weapon. XIII. Scrolling One feature about MS that makes it so interesting is that there are scrolls, unlike other games. Scrolls are items that can increase an equipment items stats benefiting you more in training. Scrolls however, cost money to buy and purchase, leaving you broke at some points of the game. Scrolls can be either bought in stores or found by monsters. There are three types of scrolls. There are 10%, 60%, and 100% scrolls. The percent for each scroll means the chances of it working on an item. Items have upgrade slots; each slot shows that it can be upgraded by a scroll. Of course, if there’s a chance the items will work, then there’ll be surely a chance that they won’t work. By any chance, if a scroll doesn’t work, it’ll destroy one of the slots on the item, which can decrease its value. If a scroll works, of course, chances are that the item price will increase. Scrolls can increase your attack drastically if your item is scrolled correctly. It wouldn’t hurt to buy a few scrolls and test out your luck. You might just make something good. XIV. Stats (Part. 2) The stat build for a Bandit is easy and simple. Just follow the stat build you followed as a thief: DEX = double your level and LUK = the rest of the points. Once you hit level 40, it’ll be easier. From level 40 and on, you add 1 point to DEX and 4 points to LUK each level. It’s as simple as that. XV. Skills (Part. 2) Once you’re a bandit, you achieve the ability to perform skills with crazy graphics that appeal many people. To use a skill to it’s fullest extent, you must level yourself many times before you get to you skills at their fullest. Here are some skills you earn the privilege to use once you advance into a bandit: Dagger Mastery (Passive): Increases accuracy and dagger mastery. Only applies when dagger is in hand. [Accuracy to attack more monsters and dagger mastery to increase damage. Max this out!] Endure (Passive): While on rope, you can still gain HP and MP. [Not needed so much, but can be useful sometimes. I don’t recommend maxing it out, but you should have a few points on this.] Dagger Booster (Support): When this skill is activated, your attacking speed is increased. Only applies when dagger is in hand. [A must. You don’t need to max it out, but maybe have about 10 – 15 SPs set into it.] Haste (Support): Increases your max speed and jump. [Crazy skill, makes you like Speedy Gonzalez and the Roadrunner! When this skills is maxed out, it adds 40% more speed and 20% more jump (max speed/jump is 140%/123%) and also, your party gets haste as well! Beware of the begging hastees, people who beg you for haste, since they can become annoying] Steal (Active): A skill that attacks an enemy and steals items from them at a certain success rate [Not too useful skill, don’t max this out.] Savage Blow: Dagger (Active): An attack where when maxed, can attack up to 6 times in a row. [Main attack. Ownage when maxed out with a good weapon. This skill is what you’ll use for a very long time. Don’t forget, this skill will drain your MP fast.] Bandit Build #1: Preferred Build: Maxing out endure first allows you to rest and regain HP/MP quickly when training at zombies. Sleepywood: Dungeon: Cave of Evil Eye I, Dungeon: Cave of Evil Eye II, Dungeon: Cave of Evil Eye III, and Dungeon: Cave of Evil Eye IV. Fire Boars, Jr. Grupins, Jr. Cellions, Jr. Lioner, Evil Eyes. Training at the garden of colors will make you money easily. They have decent drops and each of kitties drop a 60% scroll. The red ones drop 60% claw scroll, the yellow ones drop 60% crossbow, and the green ones drop 60% wand scroll. If you happen to find the 60% claw scroll or 60% wand scroll, you’ll be rolling in dough. When you can’t kill kitties in one SB yet, then train on evil eyes or fire boars since they are weaker. Evil eyes have good spawn and good training although you’ll never become rich if you train on them constantly. Lvl: 50 –60 Ellinia: Monkey Forest I, Monkey Forest II, Hidden Street: Tree Dungeon, Monkey Forest I, and Hidden Street: Tree Dungeon, Monkey Forest II. El Nath: El Nath: Watch Out for Icy Path I Sleepywood: Dungeon: Drake Hunting Ground Henesys: Victoria Road: The Entrance of Gollem's Temple, Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple I ,Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple II, Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple III, and Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple IV Zombie Lupins, Lupins, Jr. Yetis, Stone Gollems. This will be very fast training if you can OHKO zombie lupins. If not, Stone Gollems, Jr. Yetis, or Drakes are pretty good experience, so go for whichever one is best for your character. Lvl: 60 – 70 Sleepwood: Dungeon: Drake's Meal Table, Dungeon: Sanctuary Entrance I, and Dungeon: Sanctuary Entrance I Florina Beach: Florina Road: Hot Sand Henesys: Victoria Road: The Entrance of Gollem's Temple, Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple I ,Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple II, Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple III, and Victoria Road: Gollem's Temple IV El Nath: El Nath: Watch Out for Icy Path I, El Nath: Cold Field I, El Nath: Forest of Dead Trees I, El Nath: Forest of Dead Trees II, El Nath: Forest of Dead Trees III, El Nath: Forest of Dead Trees IV, El Nath: Dead Mine I, El Nath: Dead Mine II, El Nath: Dead Mine III, and El Nath: Dead Mine IV. Drakes, Cargos, Tauromacis, Cold Eyes, Umtis, Clangs, Stone Gollems, Jr. Yetis, Hectors, Coolie Zombies, Minor Zombies. Basically, I have given you many options of training at from level 60 – 70. You can find a new spot if you don’t like any of these or you could also move around once one of the spots become boring. Hot Sand is good training only if you can OHKO all the monsters there and Zombies are good if you can kill them with two hits. Just try the monsters and get used to which ever one you prefer. The drops aren’t so good, but they should be fast training. XVII. Quests (Part 2) Once you advance into a bandit, there are several quests available that you can complete from level 30 to 70. Many of them are Quests that are worth the cost and time, but some shouldn’t be done. There are well over 50 quests you can complete, some of them being a series of quests, but because there are so many, it would take too much time and space to describe the importance of each quest. Here are some quests that are encouraged: - John’s Present (Lvl. 30): This quest should be done because it’s an easy jumping quest that rewards you with your best level 35 gloves! If you are impatient, this quest will take you a while to finish since you need to jump the stages more than once. John just had to demand more flowers this time around. - Shumi’s Lost Bundle of Money (Lvl. 30): This time around, Shumi lost a bundle of money. Smooth move Shumi! Once again, a jump quest is assigned to you. Be patient like you should be while doing all jump quests, so that you can easily complete it. I’m not so patient myself, so it takes me about ½ an hour to complete it while one of my patient friend deftly jumps the stages in about 5 minutes. She gives you a decent award for completing this quest: 100 mana elixirs (worth about 60k if you purchase it in a shop). Here’s a tip, use the MP potions so that they’ll benefit you in your leveling. - Icarus and the Flying Pill (Lvl. 42): Icarus wants to fly! But he makes you do his dirty work!! This quest will take a while to finish, but the prize is worth it. In the end, you are rewarded either Icarus Cape (1), Icarus Cape (2), or Icarus Cape (3). All of them are useful, but Icarus Cape (2) is the most expensive. Icarus Cape (1) gives 15 avoidability, Icarus Cape (2) gives 10 speed, and Icarus Cape (3) gives 5 jump. Speed is most wanted so be happy if you’re awarded Icarus Cape (2). The speed and jump cape will aid you in training when you’re still haste-less. - Jane the Alchemist (Lvl. 40): Jane has once again, another request for you. Also, its reward is even better than her previous one! This quest can totally drain the money from you because it requires expensive materials such as a moon rock and hard-to-get materials such as ‘Malady frogs’ and ‘medicines with weird vibes’. The reward is worth it. You can earn either a 10% glove attack scroll or a 60% glove attack scroll. - Alligators at the Swamp (Lvl. 52): When this quest is completed you can receive either a choice of a 60% LUK/ DEX/ STR/ INT cape scroll, which will be of good use on your scroll. I suggest you get the LUK cape scroll since it’s best for your cape. All you have to do on this quest is kill a bunch of ligators and crocos. CRIKEY! - Looking for the Book of Ancient, Missing Hella, Spiruna and the Black Crystal, Scadur the Hunter, and the Four Wise men of Victoria Island (Lvl. 55): These series of quests reward you with a stinky prize, but the only reason you would do this quest is generally for the experience you get. If this quest is completed at level 55, you can gain about 20% from it once you’re done. Not bad if you have the money. - Others: 1.Nick, the Son of Scadur 2.Alcaster and the Dark Crystal 3.Pia’s Present for a Friend 4.John’s Last Present 5.Rowen the Fairy and the Cursed Dolls 6.Special Taste of Florina Beach Series 7.Food – Hunting for Moppie Series 8.Lisa’s Special Medicine Series 9.Fairy Horn’s Flute Series 10.Jack Schwetty’s Secret Book 11.Building Blackbull’s New House 12.Moppie the Lone Dawg 13.Alpha Platoon’s Network of Communication 14.The Chaos Behind Alfonse Green and the Nependeath Juice 15.Manji’s Ragged Gladius 16.Sabitrama’s Anti-Aging Medicine XVIII. Tips (Part 2) - You may want to buy warrior pots / pills for training since sometimes, it can make a difference between killing them in one hit, or not. - Once again, BUY POTS AND USE THEM. They’ll drain your money quickly if you're poor, but they’ll level you quickly. - Also, buy a good, higher level item that looks crazy or is godly and it’ll motivate you to get to the required level to wield or wear it. - Use haste and booster since it will hasten your training. Haste will make you move MUCH faster and booster will make you attack faster. XX. F.A.Q. Q: Are Bandits good characters to make? A: This is all in someone’s point of view. I try not to be too biased when answering this question, but some people just hate bandits while others love them. For sure though, there will be a time where you’ll become really bored of them and may stop playing for a while or even forever. Q: Why are people unable to KS bandits when they are right in the middle of a Savage Blow? A: For some reason, when you use savage blow, and you’re going to hit, it makes the monster immune to other people’s attack and once you land all 6 attacks, it’s vulnerable to other hits. Why? If people could interrupt bandits in the middle of a Savage Blow, Bandits would be KSed way more than they are already. Q: Why is haste needed on a Bandit if it is melee? A: Who doesn’t want haste? It speeds up your training a lot more and is really useful. Also, without it, bandits would be beaten up so easily since they have to get next to creatures to attack. It allows you to get in and out of small places quick and easily. Q: Which is a better choice: Assassins or Bandits? A: Once again, this is your own opinion. Personally, I favor Assassins because I never really enjoyed walking up close to attack. I was just too lazy. Also, I think that Bandits are pretty weak, but it’s up to you too judge bandits. XXI. Bandits vs. Sins If you have read many “bandits vs. sins” comparisons, you’ll notice that they’re usually biased and favor one side more than the other. Personally, I hate that. They make the other class look superior and august, while the other class looks bad and weak. I personally think both are decent jobs, and are goodfor different purposes. Well anyways, here’s my comparison between sins and bandits: 1. Bandits are melee fighters, they wield daggers, while sins are ranged, and they use claws and throwing knives. 2. Savage blow is more stable and balanced than Lucky 7. 3. Sins have a better use of Haste. 4. Bandits use less pots at early levels, while Sins waste more. 5. At higher levels, Bandits waste more money than Sins do because of 3rd job. 6. Bandits take patience and time to train in the beginning 7. I'm unsure, but i have seen that JMS hermits can do up to 40k damage with shadow partner and Lucky 7, while i have seen a Chief Bandit's savage blow amounting to about 12 - 15k dmg. (The Hermit was about 10 levels higher) XXII.
